I spent the day wandering the western half of the park. There are truly an amazing number of fantastic views from this park, and all within a small area. The park is only 185 acres but offers spectacular views of English Bay and the Strait of Georgia. The hike through the park offered many exquisite combinations of the macro seascape world with that of the micro in the form interestingly shaped trees. One solitary tree growing out the side of a rocky cliff caught my attention with its phenomenal windswept shape. Towards the end of my visit along the east beach the clouds had moved in enough to cast a dreamy pinkish tone to the clouds and seaside, it truly was a surreal looking seascape.
The hike was not strenuous and I enjoyed the constant presence of many others who had come for the view but by mid-afternoon I was exhausted, I hadn't realized just how tiring photography can be! But it certainly was worth the effort.
