The result of a low dam just off the right edge of the photo. The lake is used to feed the millrace and the old mill in St. Jacobs. The mill is no longer in use but the building and river works are I found this delightful view on October 19, 2003 in St. Jacobs Ontario. This small lake is now a historical attraction to the area. I found this scene particularly restful, the still surface of the lake nicely reflects the peaceful trees and clouds and the roar of the water over the dam make it a place I could regularly just stop to relax in. The central tree adds a notion of strength to the already pleasant pastoral view.
