Near the top of Woodside Mountain, just west of the town of Agassiz, is a small grassy clearing with a sharp drop off. From this perch one glider after another waited for the right moment – just as the wind catches the fabric – to run down the slope and jump into open space. It was interesting seeing how it is all done. This west-looking view of the Fraser valley made for an outstanding backdrop to each glider as he launched.
