Mount Seymour
I've hiked a number of the lower hikes on the mountain so it was about time I tried for the actual peak.

Hope Mountain FSR
Travelling along The Hope-Princeton Hwy one sees numerous roads heading off into the hills. Today we explored the first of these roads.

Diez Vistas
Overlooking Indian Arm and Buntzen Lake, this trail isn't a difficult one but does go for 15Km and takes some time to complete.

Squeah FSR
The Fraser Canyon is a beautiful area to travel through. Most people zip down the highway barely glimpsing the scenery, today I explored the lower canyon but from the side opposite the highway.

Hollyburn Mountain
This year I plan to hike 5 peaks and wanted to start off the series with a revisit to Hollyburn. The mountain had a few surprises for me.

American & Emory Creek FSR's
I have not explored the roads along the Fraser Canyon so far so it was a new treat to start our adventure with American Creek FSR.

Ruby & Garnet Creek FSR's
It being a month after our first visit, I was hoping all the snow would be gone and we could fully explore the area.

Upper Shannon Falls
I have enjoyed the Falls from the bottom for years . Today we set out to explore the creek from the top.

West Harrison South
One always drives past the south end of the lake when exploring the deeper areas but I had never stopped to enjoy this section until today.

Ruby Creek FSR
The hills east of Agassiz have been calling to me for some time. Though early in the season, I was hopeful we could see most of the area without being stopped by snow.

Chilliwack Mountain
I drive past the small mountain on a regular basis and had never been on it to see what it had to offer. So today I thought would be a good one to explore the area.

Snowshoeing on Airplane Creek FSR
My last time out on the snowshoes was last season on this road, so I thought it fitting to head back here to start this season.

North Mission, Hayward lake
I noticed some logging roads north of mission that needed exploring, but the snow blocked them off so I ended up at Hayward lake.

East Harrison Highlights
The east Harrison FSR offers so many view that I never get tired of exploring the area. Today we visited only the first few kilometers of the FSR.

Bridal Falls FSR
Easily accessible from the highway, I had driven past it for years always intending to drop by. So today was the day - sort of.

Campbell Valley Park
This little park offers a variety of sights year-round. Today being a snowy post Christmas afternoon, it looked like a unplanned visit would be worthwhile.

Jones/Waleach Lake
Jones Lake was one of the earliest areas I explored once I started to seriously explore the region. I felt it was time to return and see the what was along the east side of the lake.

Day 8 - Exploring the Shoreline
It was our last full day in Port Stanley and I felt I had to get out and find some photos even if the weather was questionable.

Day 7 - Stormy Weather
The day opened with gale like winds, but by lunch I got restless and had to go out and get a few photos

Day 6 - Port Stanley Terminal Rail
Though a cool day, the sun was out and it was definitely time to get out and explore the town – especially the old railroad that is now a tourist attraction.

Day 4 - Traveling to Port Stanley
Our time in Grimsby was done for this year and we started off for our Inn in Port Stanley

Day 3 - Spencer Gorge
I had never been to the gorge and with the sun peeking out; it looked like it was going to be a great day for hiking and photography.

Day 2 - Beamer Falls
This time I got a few photos from above and then we hiked in from below right up to the Falls for a new angle of the creek.

Chilliwack Ecological Reserve
I wanted to visit the south end of Chilliwack Lake for some time, but with the road closed to protect the reserve one must hike in rather than drive. Today I decided to give it a go.

Goldie and Flower Lakes
I visited Goldie a year ago but missed Flower Lake. As it was such a pleasant hike I was looking forward to coming back. The cloudy weather added to the scenery of today’s trip.

Greendrop Lake, Finally
A few years back I set out on a hike to Lindeman and Greendrop lakes but ran out of time before reaching the second lake. So it was satisfying to finally reach it.

Dog Mountain
I have quite enjoyed the hikes on Mt. Seymour and the trail to the smaller Dog Mountain looked interesting. I was hoping for good views of the city as a bonus.

Gold Creek Falls
I had time only for a short hike today and found the Gold River Falls in my new book of hikes. So having never been there we set out to explore Golden Ears Park.

Hollyburn Workout
For decades I have driven past and talked about Hollyburn Mountain, so I figured climbing it was long overdue – but I chose a bad day.

Ford Mountain
I had driven up the logging road on the mountain and driven past it many times so I was quite ready to hike up the top unexplored section to see what was there.

Return to Mount Cheam
It has been three years since I last climbed Cheam and I felt I was over due for a visit. I was not disappointed that I returned.

Airplane Creek Re-visited
With the Pathfinder repaired I was finally able to do the hike I had planned to do June 21st – explore the ridge line leading to Lady Peak.

Capilano Canyon
Last time I visited was during the low flow period, so today I went to see the chutes of the dam in action. I was not disappointed.

Harrison Lookout
I first saw this trail several years ago and promised myself I would hike it one day. Finally I got the chance.

Skagit Range Snow Shoeing
It was getting late in the season and I still hadn’t gotten out for some Snow Shoe hiking. Finally on April 12th and again on the 26th I made it.

Squamish Water Parks
When I visited Murin Park last August I enjoyed the subtle textures of the lake and planned to return and so I set out for the park only to be sent away!

Lighthouse Park - February 2008
I needed to visit the park in preparation for an upcoming event and had a chance to capture a few shots while there.
Mud Bay Park
This small park is a dual use park – a 20Km long level walking/cycling trail and a phenomenal access point to viewing migratory birds. The dichotomy brought an interesting mixture of users.

Foley Lake
It was early December and the road to Foley was now open so we took the opportunity to revisit this area and see how the lake looked in winter.

East Side Stave
It had been some time since my last visit to the region along the eastern shore of Stave Lake, so today we returned to discover what had changed.

Mystery Lake
I enjoyed such a lovely hike a few weeks earlier on Mount Seymour that I decided to try another, this time to Mystery Lake. This small alpine lake is near the top of one of the chair lifts.

Chilliwack Lake
Enjoying the Chilliwack Lake Beach after being stopped by locked gates
Mt Seymour & Goldie Lake
On my previous trip to Seymour I noticed an interesting hike to Goldie Lake. So our goal for today was to see what sights the lake offered.

Alice Lake
After driving past the park for years I felt it was finally time to see what was hiding with the park boundaries. So on September 1, 2007 we set off to explore the area.

Brohm Lake
My second visit to this lovely lake, this time we were prepared to hike around the entire lake.

Murrin Park
A lovely tiny park and lake along the Sea to Sky Highway just south of Squamish.

Manning Park
It was time for another visit to Manning Park and an opportunity to dust off the camping gear and enjoy the evenings in the outdoors.

West Harrison Again and Again
I quite like Harrison Lake and the many aspects it presents this collection is from back to back trips along the western shore July 14 & 28 2007.

East Harrison Camp Out
It was the July long week-end and I thought it a nice day to re-visit the east Harrison FSR and area, unfortunately so did hundreds of campers!

Floods to Chehalis
A light drizzle just added to the mood of the serious flooding along the Fraser.
